About the False Apology from Phoenix Coffin Williams

Shelly Malak Stodd
With all due respect, why was there a decision to apologize and then complete the statement with a different name/insult? In my mind that just keeps fueling the antagonism. Perhaps I missed something?

You’re right. It negates the apology. It’s kind of like saying, “I’m sorry I called you the “C” word. I should have just called you a “B.”

You may have missed his inability to take responsibility for his egregious words and actions. You may have missed he excuses himself inside the same "said apology". You may have missed he left out his many times of calling a lot of good people "racist". You may have missed that this person is supposed to be a professional counselor and HP that has learned the power of words and actions from both of those trainings. You did not miss the lameness of his tepid attempt to calm some who are only slightly rebellious over his gross conduct. You did not miss the hypocrisy of his words as he took over in a coup and became the very thing he called Stephanie Neal. And you did not miss his complete lack of empathy or his self-centered, ego-driven need to be respected. What did I miss in this list?

Bowen Barrs I didn’t miss those things, but I’m glad you pointed them out here. Was trying to sound objective. I’ve worked as a psychologist for 30 years. Some might consider the “apology” to be passive-aggressive.
